Why Alcohol Free Car Perfume Is Worth It

Why Alcohol Free Car Perfume Is Worth It

Flip over most car fresheners and you'll find alcohol near the top of the list. It's cheap, it makes the scent hit you straight away, and it's the reason so many of them smell sharp and fade fast.

What alcohol actually does

Alcohol evaporates very quickly and carries the fragrance with it. That's why an alcohol based freshener smells strong on day one and weak by day ten. It can also leave that harsh, chemical edge that gives some people a headache on long drives.

What changes when you take it out

  • Slower release. Without alcohol, the scent comes out gently and steadily, so it lasts weeks instead of days.

  • Softer smell. No sharp chemical hit when you open the door. Just a clean, pleasant fragrance.

  • Easier on long drives. A gentler scent is much nicer when you're in the car for hours.

  • Better value. One bottle lasting up to 75 days works out far cheaper per day than buying a new freshener every couple of weeks.

Is alcohol free less strong?

Not really. It's more balanced. You'll notice it every time you get in, but it won't fill the car so much that you need to roll the windows down.

The Cabai way

Every Cabai scent is made with zero alcohol. It's one of the first things we decided on, because we wanted a car perfume that smells good on day one and still smells good on day sixty.
