After years of searching for a car fragrance that smelled considered rather than chemical, Anshika Pandit left her corporate career to build one herself. She spent months testing formulas, rejecting anything that faded within days or leaned too heavily on alcohol, until Cabai's hanging pods were ready to share with the world.
Today, Cabai reflects her belief that a car fragrance should say something about the person driving it, not just cover up the smell of the last fast food run. Traditional Indian perfumery, modern diffusion technology, and a genuine dislike for anything generic went into building the range you see today.
We Started With a Simple Problem.
Most car fragrances smell like one of three things: chemicals pretending to be pine, chemicals pretending to be citrus, or just chemicals. They are loud, they are cheap, and they fade in a week. We thought that was a fixable problem. So we fixed it.
